Dr Owens was born and raised in Star Valley Wyoming. He loves the valley and has always dreamed of raising his own family in Star Valley. Dr Owens attended BYU-Idaho for his Bachelors degree in Biology and Chemistry. He then went to dental school at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. Upon graduation, Dr Owens moved to Evanston, Wyoming where he practiced dentistry from 2015-2024. When the opportunity arose to come back to the valley, he jumped at the opportunity. He feels blessed to have acquired Swift Creek Dental from Dr Norman and hopes to provide the same level of highest care.
Dr Owens and his wife Megan have six kids (three boys and three girls). They enjoy camping, hiking, 4-wheeling, game night, fishing, exploring surrounding areas, and doing the many activities available in this great valley.
Originally born in Idaho, Kazia has called Star Valley home for the past six years and graduated from Star Valley High School in 2025. Outside of the office, one of her greatest passions is aviation. She earned her Private Pilot License at just 18 years old and loves spending her free time flying whenever she gets the chance.
In the office, she strives to make every patient’s experience a positive and comfortable one and hopes each person leaves feeling confident, cared for, and with a smile.
My husband and I have three boys, so life’s usually a little loud and a little chaotic, but in a good way. As a family we love to be outside whether it’s at the dirtbike track, camping, fishing, hiking or being in the water. I love my job and the people I get to be around every day.
I’m Cari Butcher and I grew up in Mesa, Arizona. I’ve been lucky to be able to move from the Valley of the Sun to Star Valley. I definitely prefer the snowy weather to the heat. I’ve been moving back and forth to the Valley since 2007. I also graduated from BYU-Idaho, served a mission in Hawaii, and lived close by in Pinedale, WY for 7 years. I’m happy to finally get to stay in Star Valley and make it my and my daughter’s home. My favorite time of year is the fall when the leaves change and the canyons are lit up with vibrant color. I absolutely love being able to chat with patients and hear their stories. It’s the best part of my job!
I grew up here in Star Valley. I graduated college from BYU-I and moved back and married a Star Valley boy. I have been working for Dr Owens for 2 years now and have loved every bit of it! I’ve also been renovating my house that was built in 1914 for the last two years.
I like to sing and learn instruments like the guitar and piano and I love being outside.
Chantel was born and raised in Rock Springs, WY but her Star Valley roots run deep. Both sides of her family are from the valley so many of her childhood summers were spent working at the family owned Red Baron Drive-In. Chantel received her Bachelor’s degree in Health Science from Boise State University. She then went on to the Utah College of Dental Hygiene in Orem where she graduated with a second Bachelor’s degree. It was then that Dr. Norman offered her a job at Family Dental Care (now Swift Creek Dental). Chantel moved to Star Valley in 2012 and has been working as a hygienist ever since! She met her husband Kyle shortly after moving to the valley. They now live in Smoot, happily raising their three kids. Together they enjoy watching and playing sports, hiking and camping!
